Adkins Counseling Services was founded by Josie and Josh Adkins, a married couple of professional counselors who share a passion for helping teens and their families. They bring years of professional experience to their work, ensuring that each client receives the best possible care. We are proud to serve the rural communities of Southeast Idaho. Josie Adkins, LCPC
MDFT Supervisor/Therapist, Counselor, Parent Educator
I provide MDFT to teens and their families who want to improve family communication, functioning, and help get the teen back on track. My work focuses on supporting the parent to create helpful boundaries within the family, encouraging the teen to be open and thoughtful about their behavior, and facilitate positive communication in the family setting. I believe it’s never too late to make a difference in the lives of adolescents.
Joshua Adkins, LCPC
MDFT Therapist, Counselor
As a MDFT therapist at Adkins Counseling Services, I work with teens, parents, and families to address a variety of complex mental health and behavioral issues. My ultimate goal is to help individuals and families achieve positive change, feel empowered, and live their lives without regrets. I'm proud to say that I come from rural Idaho and am passionate about supporting my local community by providing high-quality counseling services to those in need.
Elisheva Soto, LMSW
MDFT Therapist, Social Worker

Elisheva is originally from the Sacramento, CA area, and came to Idaho to pursue education at both an undergraduate, and graduate level in Social Work. Her passion is helping youth and their families see, and achieve their tremendous potential. This passion stems from experiences in her own life that led her to understand the importance of intervention and prevention for adolescents who are struggling. Throughout the course of her professional career, she has had experience working with youth in various aspects including case management, child welfare, juvenile justice, and now as an MDFT Therapist. Elisheva believes wholeheartedly in the ability of the MDFT program to create a better, safer, happier, and more hopeful environment for the youth, and their families.
ShaRhonda Stevenson, LPC
MDFT Therapist, Counselor
My name is ShaRhonda and I am a Licensed Clinician here in Idaho. I am in training as a MDFT Therapist here at Adkins Counseling. In addition to my developing MDFT skills, I am receiving training to be Clinical Rehabilitation Counselor at Idaho State University as a doctoral student, which means I focus on disorders and disabilities. I am passionate about helping families deepen their connection, as well as, their communication with one another. I believe in healthy collaboration between all involved to help the family achieve their desired goals.
Elaine Wong

I am a master student majoring clinical rehabilitation counseling at Idaho State University committed to helping people learning how to reach their interpersonal and interpersonal goals through a holistic approach. I am passionate about advocating for individuals with disability through career, independence, and equality. I believe in the therapeutic power of counseling in assisting people accomplishing their state of health being. I am also passionate about learning and understanding various family dynamic in Idaho and helping families develop appropriate skills and interventions for improving family relationships.
